I was just a small boy when I first heard my favourite lyrics of all time. There are only four lines in the whole record, and here they are:

“Music was my first love and it will be my last,
Music of the future and music of the past.
To live without my music would be impossible to do,
’cause in this world of troubles my music pulls me through.”

They say it all. They describe my intrinsic love for and deep relationship with music. They explain how I got to this stage, blogging and sharing music because I don’t understand how people can just go through life missing out on all this wonder! And these words come from a phenomenal record which is little known and hardly ever played on the radio, even on oldies stations like Gold. It is a John Miles record simply entitled Music. I’m always blown away by how staggeringly few people have actually heard this record, but it brings me great pleasure to officially launch Auriopia with this sublime composition.
